I have inactive bank accounts that are showing up in my reports as duplicates.  How can I get rid of these?

Welcome to Community, dencren!

Let us work together to help you remove the duplicate accounts showing in your reports.

We can reactivate the accounts and then merge to remove them. To do that, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and click on Chart of Accounts.
  2. At the upper rightmost part of the Chart of Accounts window, click on the small Gear icon and mark Include inactive.
  3. Locate the accounts you want to reactive, and click Make active.

The reactivated accounts will now show on the Chart of Accounts window. After that, you can now merge those duplicate accounts. Here's how:

  1. Find the accounts you made active.
  2. Click on the Report dropdown and select Edit.
  3. Update the account name.
  4. Click Save and Close, and click Yes if you are prompted with a question confirming the merge of accounts.
