Hello there, @sewwhatswfl.

 

I'll guide you on what's the best thing to do with the QBO account that you no longer use.

 

QuickBooks Online only allow you to cancel your account. This is to ensure that you can still view your data whenever you need some information when filing your forms for the year.

 

Your company data will be completely deleted a year after you cancel it. I'd suggest printing the forms and reports you might need in the future.

 

Here's how to cancel your account:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click the Gear icon.
  3. Select Account and Settings.
  4. Choose Billing and Subscription on the left.
  5. Click Cancel.
  6. Select Continue to Cancel and Continue to Cancel again.
  7. Answer the exit survey and choose Confirm Cancel.
