When I try to select a custom date to run my P&L report it doesn't work. I want specific dates and it just keeps bouncing back to Jan through todays date.

The information displayed by QuickBooks Online will vary depending on the custom date range selected, Cencal. The dropdown date might be set for the current year.

Setting the reporting period from This year to Custom is crucial. To ensure that the report will be accurate.

Follow these steps: 

1. Go to Reports.
2. Select Profit and Loss.
3. Under the Reporting period dropdown.
4. Select Custom.
5. Fill up the date range you prefer.
6. Click Run report.
