Question

Where are the reports for federal tax filing for my 990in the Online version of Quickbooks? In the desktop version, there were several reports that assisted me with 990?

Hello there, financial2,

You can run these reports to help you out on Form 990:

  • 1099 Transaction Detail Report
  • Profit and Loss
  • Balance Sheet

Here's how:

  1. Click Reports on the left pane.
  2. Type the name of the report on the search box, then click to open.

You can also customize the reports to check on the details. Check out the instructions on how to file Form 990 in the IRS website.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

The 1099 report is empty for me. I am not surprised.

There are reports in the NonProfit desktop version that helps me fill out the 990 by line item. I had 990 line item numbers associated with P&L categories. The report built into the desktop version would print out the listing so i could fill in the 990. None of that i can find in the Online version. Why?
