Question

Where do I find the "export to Accounting" function. It used to be found when you run a report of paycheck list?

Hi there, @tl4.

I'm here to help make sure you can export your payroll transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Since you can't find the Export to Accounting option from the Paycheck list, let's proceed to the other option to export your payroll transactions. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click the Gear icon, then select Payroll settings.
  3. In the Export section, select Export transactions.
  4. A screen will appear letting you know how many transactions and of which type are being exported
  5. Click Export.

If you can't still find the option from there, let's perform some troubleshooting steps. It's possible that your browser had a data issue that's why the Export to accounting option isn't showing. To verify, let's log in to your QBO account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.
