Question

Where do I update the email address for all payment notifications? Every time a payment is made or received, it is not going to the primary contact email.

Hello there, kimberly-carlson.

I can provide information on how you can update the email address associated with your payments account.

Each email address receives different kinds of messages associated with your payments account.

  • Account access messages go to your Intuit Account Email
  • News about your account goes to your Contact Email
  • The Statement or deposit alerts go to individual email address destinations you set for each alert type

You'll be able to update the email address information after you're able to enter your one-time confirmation code. You can request to change your email by providing proof of identity you no longer have access to the email on file.

For the detailed information and the steps on how you can successfully update your email address, you can use these links:

You can always mention me in your reply if there's anything else that you need help with such as managing your payments account. Take care!

I have the same question about updating an email for payment notifications only....but for Quickbooks Enterprise (desktop).  Is there a way to have different emails for this?

Thanks for joining us in this thread, LHOF.

I'm here to provide an answer to your question about email notification for the payments.

Right now, all notifications will be sent to the email address entered in the Contact Information section on your Merchant account. If you'd need to update your account, I'll be happy to walk you through doing it.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. Click the Account tab.
  3. Select Account Profile.
  4. Go to the Contact Information section.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Change the email address.
  7. Click Save

For more detailed steps, see this article: Change your business info for your QuickBooks Payments account.
