The only sales that are in the liability report are taxable sales. The total sales are not correct for the quarter.

Hello, hfletcher-triump.

I'd like to share some details about the Sales Tax Liability report, and how you can see your taxable and non-taxable sales.

The Sales Tax Liability report will show the transactions with the "Tax" column checked. The NON-TAXABLE column reports the line items without the Tax column checked.

For example, if an invoice has two line items and one of those items has no tax on it, this will be reported on the NON-TAXBLE column. Here's a sample screenshot:

Since you want to report the total sales (both non-taxable and taxable), you'll want to pull up and customize a different report.

You can customize the Taxable Sales Detail to include the taxable and non-taxable transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports, then type "Taxable Sales Detail" in the search box.
  2. Click the Customize button.
  3. Set the Report period to your preferred quarter.
  4. Open the Filter section.
  5. Ensure the Customer Taxable and Product/Service Taxable filters are set to All.
  6. Click Run report
