Hello, tammy. I know a couple of steps to help you back up and restore your company and get your work done in no time. I'll explain it in detail below to help you achieve the task in QuickBooks.

If you are using the QuickBooks Online Advanced version, we can head straight to the Gear icon.

  1. Go to Gear.
  2. Choose the Backup company.
  3. Note: You might need to sign in to your Intuit account, and then select Authorize to proceed.

You can also make a manual backup anytime.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings .
  2. Select Back up company.
  3. Note: You might need to sign in with an Intuit account, and then select Authorize to proceed.
  4. Select Add Company.
  5. Select the Search for a company ▼ dropdown menu, then select the company you want to back up.
  6. Select Next, then Connect.
  7. Note: If you have multiple companies to back up, repeat steps 2 to 4.
  8. Find the company you want to back up.
  9. Select the Action ▼ dropdown menu, then select Run full backup.

Please note that this action only saves the previous year of your company data. Any file older than that will be unrecoverable. Here's an article that shares the complete details of the list of data you can create a backup: Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced Company.

I'll be right here if you need additional assistance regarding this related topic above. Have a great day ahead.
