Question

Why is qb online so incredibly slow at times - taking as much as a half hour to refresh a screen when just switching between views. My computer is more than adequate?

internet is modest - 20Mbps, but other sites with higher data requirements work fine.

Hello and welcome to the Community, useredells.

It would be my pleasure to provide some details and solutions to your problems.

We regularly monitor our system's performance to ensure we are meeting the goal. QuickBooks is expected to load in 10 seconds. If the page takes a while to load, you can check the following:

  • Intuit recommends Google Chrome to get the best experience possible. If you are already using Chrome, ensure you are using the latest release by going to the Chrome menu and selecting Help, then About Google Chrome.
  • Make sure your operating system is up to date and you meet or exceed the System Requirements for QuickBooks Online.
  • Check your internet speed (bandwidth) if it is not limiting your QuickBooks Online experience. Run a Google Speed Test to confirm your bandwidth/the speed of your connection. To better understand the results of the Google Speed Test, be sure to read over how the results are determined and what they mean.

I'm adding this article to learn more: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?.

If you're getting the same result, you'll want to troubleshoot your browser. The steps are included here: Troubleshooting browser problems.

Please feel free to get in touch with me here if you have other questions or concerns. I'll be around to help you out some more. Thanks for dropping in and take care.
