Welcome to the Community, @mikecate2. I'm here to help you reactivate your payroll subscription.

I'd like to ask a couple of questions to get a better understanding of the issue.

  • Are you receiving any error messages when you go to reactivate?
  • Do you have QuickBooks Desktop Assisted Payroll? If so, then you'll need to contact our Payroll Support to renew or reactivate your subscription.

You'll need to make sure that you have the latest release of QuickBooks Desktopthe current version of QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, and updated billing information to run and process payroll. Here's how you can update billing:

  1. Sign in to camps.intuit.com
  2. Find your app or subscription in the Products & Services list.
  3. Click Details.
  4. In the Billing Information section, find Payment Method, then select Edit.
  5. Update your information.
  6. Hit Save and Close.

After verifying that all the information above is updated, and the issue persists, leave me a Reply with more details. I'll keep an eye out for your response. Talk to you soon!

Thank you for following Ashley's instructions, amcbt. We'll do more steps to get back on track.

You can log in and log out from the Account Maintenance page in QuickBooks to sync your billing details.

  1. In QuickBooks, go to Employees.
  2. Select My Payroll Service, then Account/Billing Information.
  3. Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
  4. Select Billing Detail and double-check the information.
  5. Click Log out. This will sync your billing details and update your payroll.
  6. Restart QuickBooks.

If the same thing happens, please contact our Support to check this further. They have the tools to open your account and reactivate your subscription.

  1. Press F1 to open the Help window.
  2. Choose Contact Us at the button.
  3. In the text box, enter something like you got a Reactivate Payroll Subscription prompt, and it wasn't removed after updating your billing details in CAMPS and on the Account/Billing Information page in QuickBooks.
  4. Click Let's talk or Continue, and then Message Us.

If you have other questions about payroll, free free to reply to this thread.

I am having this same issue. The red icon says I need to renew.
Phone support Tech says I owe him $250.00 to fix the faulty red button in your software.
Are you directing people to live tech support to tell them the same?
Because this is unacceptable.
You are losing a customer, because I've already been paying for your other software bugs- not this time!
Support- Tell me something new please?

Why want my quickbooks desktop reactiveate

MariaSoledadG

Let's make sure you'll be able to successfully reactivate QuickBooks, suwrov357.

Normally, you can manage your QuickBooks Desktop account and services with the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs). It's possible billing information is outdated, that's why you're unable to reactivate your account.

You can update your QuickBooks Desktop payment information to prevent issues. To do so, check out the steps below outlined in numbers:

  1. Sign in to camps.intuit.com. Or learn more about signing in.
  2. Find your app or subscription in the Products & Services list.
  3. Select Details.
  4. In the Billing Information section, locate Payment Method, then click Edit.
  5. Update your information.
  6. Hit  Save and Close.

Then, ensure QuickBooks update is installed so it will automatically download and install the latest update every now and then. You can also run the update manually if you like.

However, if the issue continues, I suggest running QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub to fix common problems. Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. We recommend you download the most recent version (1.6.0.3) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
Note: If you've already installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have.
    1. Select the Home tab.
    2. Select About/What's New to view the version.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Note: If you can't find the icon, do a search in Windows for QuickBooks Tool Hub and select the app.

Why won't my payroll reactivate.  I update my credit card information.

Hi boospaint,

Let me help you with your payroll subscription.

Typically, reactivating your account should be a quick process, often taking just a few seconds. However, I recommend monitoring your account for up to 24 hours to allow for the reactivation process to complete. If after this time your account remains inactive, please reach out to our QB Desktop Payroll team. They can thoroughly investigate your account within the system and provide further assistance.

In the meantime, you can revalidate your payroll service key to resync your QuickBooks.

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop and access your company file.
  2. Press Ctrl + K to open the product window.
  3. Next Next, and Next, until you reach the Finish page.

If you have any other payroll concerns, please don't hesitate to go back to this thread.

Please know that upon resubscribing, it may take up to 24 hours for the reactivation of your subscription to fully complete. If it's beyond the provided time, I recommend reaching out to our customer support team. This way, they can pull up your account securely and reactivate your subscription so you can get back to paying your employees. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and click QuickBooks Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Provide a brief description of your concern, and click Continue.
  4. Log in to your Intuit account, select Continue, then Continue with my account.

Additionally, viewing your payroll totals in QBDT is a breeze when you generate reports. They contain the necessary information for filing payroll taxes with the government, such as employee wages and contributions.

it says to reactivate my subscription but when i go to the activation place it says my subscription is active?

June 19, 2024

Hi there, @buddy6

When you're seeing the message to reactivate your subscription but the activation page shows your subscription is active, it could be that the application is out of sync to the online activation page. Rest assured, I'm here to help you synchronize your QuickBooks Desktop application to our subscription validation system.

Here are a few steps to resolve this:

  1. Refresh Your Data.
    • Close QuickBooks Desktop and reopen it. This action might prompt the system to update the subscription status correctly.
  2. Log Out and Log Back In
    • Logging out of your QuickBooks account and logging back in can help synchronize the subscription status.
  3. Check for Software Updates
    • Ensure your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest version. Go to the Help menu, select Update QuickBooks Desktop, and then click on Update Now.
  4. Reactivate Your Subscription
    • If the problem persists, manually reactivate your subscription. Go to Help, select Manage My License, then Sync License Data Online. This step ensures that your subscription details are updated.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop support. They can securely access your account information and troubleshoot the issue further. For prompt assistance, please have your subscription details and any error messages handy.

Additionally, you can also consider managing your QuickBooks Desktop services with the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs).

Please feel free to leave a reply if you have further concerns besides your subscription status in QuickBooks Desktop. I'm here to assist you any time.

My account shows active but the reactivate icon is still there?

August 6, 2024

Thanks for reaching out, EmpireGG. Let me help you remove the reactivate icon on your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll.

There are different steps we can follow depending on your QuickBooks Desktop payroll subscription. If you're using QuickBooks Desktop Assisted, I suggest contacting our Payroll support team. They have the tools that can check your account internally and guide you in solving your concerns.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help tab at the top menu bar and select QuickBooks Desktop Help,
  2. Choose Contact Us and enter the necessary information.
  3. Press Get a callback.

However, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Enhanced or Basic, please follow these steps:

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop company file, go to Employees and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Click Account/Billing Info.
  3. Sign in using your Intuit Account login, then your QuickBooks Account page will open.
  4. Under Status, choose Resubscribe.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to reactivate your payroll service.

If the status of your payroll subscription is active, we need to validate your service key by following the steps below:

  1. Close all your company files and restart your computer.
  2. Open QuickBooks, go to Employees, select My Payroll Service, then select Manage Service Key.
  3. Your Service Name and Status should be correct and will show as Active.
  4. Select Edit, and verify the service key number. If incorrect, enter the correct service key.
  5. Select Next, uncheck the Open Payroll Setup box, then select Finish.

If you encounter PSXXX errors like PS033, PS036, PS101, and PS107, kindly proceed to Step 2 in this article: Fix PSXXX errors when downloading payroll updates.

Again, thanks for bringing this to our attention, EmpireGG. Please know that you are not alone in this process. Please hit the Reply button if you have further concerns or questions about your QuickBooks Desktop payroll. We are here to lend a hand at any time.
