Will Quick books desktop remember transactions

I imported a web connect file from my bank, I have filled some transactions in with correct payee and account, will quick books remember this info for the next time or do I need to manually set it up to auto fill payee and account when importing new transactions from a bank?

Categorizing and matching bank transactions automatically sound like a good idea. I'd like to help and share what I know about bank feeds on QuickBooks Desktop.

 

You need to check first which of the three banking modes you are using. Since each of these modes displays and handles your transactions in Bank Feeds differently.

 

Here's how to check:

  1. In QuickBooks click on the Edit menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. On the left pane, go to Checking then select the Company Preferences tab.
  4. In the Bank Feeds section, you can see what mode is set up.
  • Express Mode
  • Classic Mode
  • Advanced Mode
