Hi, i have linked a bank account and paypal account to quickbooks self employed which is showing in bank accounts but when i click into trasactions nothing is showing its still coming up with add first account!! Has anyone else had this issue?

Welcome to the Community. Let's isolate this case by using a private browser or incognito. It could be due to the browser's full cache that causes QuickBooks to get this unusual behavior.   

 

To start, log into your QuickBooks account using a private browser/incognito. Here's how: 

 

  • Press Ctrl+ Shift + N keys on your keyboard (Google Chrome).
  • Press Ctrl+ Shift + P keys on your keyboard (Firefox or Internet Explorer).
  • Press Control+ Option + P keys on your keyboard (Safari).   

 

If the private browsing session works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. You can also do this task on other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with clean trash.

Okay so I tried this & it didn’t work. 

However I have 4 different accounts within the same bank so I decided to turn them all on rather than just the one I needed. & 3 out of 4 came up! The 4th one being the one I need 😅

 

could it be because It’s a new bank account? I only opened it a week ago.

Thanks for getting back to this thread. It's good to know that you're able to see your transactions by turning all your accounts in the Bank accounts page.

 

Yes, you're right. Since your bank is just recently opened, it's could be the reason why your transactions take time to be downloaded in the Transactions menu. Usually, QuickBooks automatically downloads your recent transactions every night your accounts are connected. However, this process will also depends on your bank on when they have approved them.

Now that your transactions download automatically, all you have to do is approve the way QuickBooks categorizes them.
