Are you trying to deactivate an account in your Chart of Accounts? If so, here are the steps on how to do it:

  1. Go to Accounting menu on the left panel and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to delete.
  3. Select the Action drop down and select Make inactive.

Now, here are the steps on how to cancel your account:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Select Billing & Subscription.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, click Cancel subscription.

  5. Answer the short survey, then Click Confirm Cancel.
