How often should the direct feeds be updated for my bank? Having to wait 20 hrs or so is not very convenient also when I select refresh nothing changes!!!

Transactions are sent to QuickBooks the following weeknight, after your bank processes them. They are sent nightly from Monday to Friday.

In the meantime, we can try using a private browser or incognito mode. Then, manually update your bank feeds again. This is to test if your bank transactions will be updated.

Alternatively, try using a different browser such as, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari to check if the same happens.
