Question

In my account list I am getting a notification saying Null in blue withnsmall exclamation mark, where there should be a description of my bank account type. Any ideas?

Let me share ways to pass the notification error, Octarine.

I recommend logging out and logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. It will refresh the connection and for any changes to take effect.

If you still see the message, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses. Let's start accessing your account using a different or private browser.

To open an incognito window, you can follow these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. It's done to speed up the process the next time you do a transaction in QuickBooks. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers.

I'm adding this article for your future reference. It can guide you in categorising and matching bank transactions in QuickBooks Online: Manage your transactions in QuickBooks.
