Hi prue,

This depends on a couple of factors. QuickBooks Online learns to categorise your transactions based on your previous history of categorising. If a credit was previously categorised to Undeposited Funds, it may begin suggesting this for other credits. If that's the case, as you being to re-categorise your transactions to a different account you should see this change in the future.

If you see a green 'Rule' tag in the Category or Match column, this means you have a bank rule set up telling QuickBooks to set the category to Undeposited Funds. You would need to edit or disable the rule to stop this from continuing:

  1. Select the Banking tab, then click the sub-menu Rules (above the accounts listed at the top of the page).
  2. Locate the rule. On the right, select the dropdown arrow and choose Disable or Delete (if you no longer wish to keep the rule at all).
  3. Alternatively, you can select Edit and ensure the conditions are tightened so the rule only applies to certain transactions, then select Save.
