We understand that recent updates to Westpac, St George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA security protocols have affected the standard bank feed connections to QuickBooks Online, Michael.

Westpac and its partners have recently enhanced their security measures and, as a result, have phased out support for standard data feeds.

To provide you with a more secure and stable banking experience, we recommend upgrading to a direct bank feed for your savings, checking, and loan accounts. This will help you better safeguard your financial information while allowing for seamless access to your account data.

If your account meets the necessary qualifications, please check this article for guidance on managing your bank connection to QuickBooks.

However, direct feeds are currently not available for credit card accounts. As a workaround, we can manually upload your transactions using a CSV file into QuickBooks Online.

For the latest updates concerning these changes, we recommend reaching out to our dedicated phone support team. Here’s how you can contact them:

  1. Click on the Help (?) icon located in the top right corner.
  2. Choose the Search tab.
  3. Select Contact Us, pick on the topic provided to be connected to the right expert.
  4. Once selected, you can choose your preferred method of communication either through a Callback or by starting a Chat.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.

After you've connected your bank or downloaded your latest transactions, you might want to categorise these transactions to put them in the correct account.

Please feel free to add your comment below with any inquiries you may have about QuickBooks. Have a wonderful day.
