Banking transaction matched to a debit and a payment, or to a payment and a deposit.

I'm finding transactions with two banking matches. I'm wondering if these are duplicates. I've seen ones with both a debit and a payment matched to them and some with a deposit and a payment matched, the deposit in my case has always been manually entered.. Are these duplicates?

Welcome to the Community. It's important to record your transactions correctly to keep your books balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great program that gives you the ability to easily track your sales and expenses. I'd be glad to help.

 

If you find transactions with two bank matches, this may mean you have duplicates. If you have recurring transactions, this could also explain the two bank matches. You can reach out to our customer support team to take a look at this. Here are the options available to contact our team. 

 

  • Phone: Call us at 1-855-253-1536 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM EST.
  • Schedule a Callback: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start.
