Can I remove a linked bank account?

I would like to disconnect the bank account that I linked to QuickBooks.

Glad you reached out to the QuickBooks Community for this banking concern, santanna-mcclain.

 

Yes, you can definitely do that. But before that, if there are still transactions in the For Review tab, you can add them first. When you disconnect, QuickBooks it deletes all the transactions that still need to be categorized.

 

 

Here’s how to disconnect an account from online banking:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu. Then select the Banking tab.
  2. Click the tile for the bank account.
  3. Tap the pencil ✎ icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Choose the Disconnect this account on save checkbox. Note: If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish and try again.
  5. Press Save and Close.
