Hello,

Reconciliation is an important part of running a small business. You're probably working with a really busy schedule, and QuickBooks Online is here to help save you time by making this process as easy as it can be. I'll explain your options in regards to undoing a reconciliation, or changing your ending date.

If you had still been in the process of completing your reconciliation, the ending date could be changed quite easily. You'd simply navigate to the Reconcile screen, and click the Edit Info button on the top right corner of the page. From there, you'd enter the correct ending date and click Save. It sounds like you've already closed the reconciliation in this case, but this will be helpful for you to know for next time.

This time, you'll have to undo the reconciliation and redo it using the proper ending date. The easiest way to undo a completed reconciliation is to connect with an accountant ProAdvisor. These accountants have unique QuickBooks Online Accountant accounts, and have the ability to delete your completed reconciliation in the click of a button. If you've not yet connected with an accountant, you can find one in your area here: Find a ProAdvisor

The alternative to having an accountant user undo your completed reconciliation is to manually undo the reconciliation status on each transaction from the register. Take a look at this helpful Community article for more information on how to do this: How to unreconcile a transaction or undo a reconciliation.

I hope this helps get you back on track. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our tech support team.

Cheers.
