Does anybody know if Quickbooks automatically tries to update bank accounts? I have received twice a notification from the bank that someone is trying to connect.

QuickBooks Online automatically updates your bank accounts. Once you connect your accounts to QuickBooks Online, they are automatically updated in the system. Automatic online banking account updates normally begin around 10 pm PT. If the server is unable to obtain updated information for a particular online account, it attempts the update up to five additional times over the next five hours.

However, these automatic updates are typically done without requiring additional authentication from the user. If you’re receiving notifications from your bank about someone trying to connect, it’s important to verify this activity. It could be a routine security notification from your bank, but it’s always a good idea to confirm.
