Question

Estimate for HST was done, and when I used the 'adjust' tab, it put the difference as unreconciled in my bank rec. How do I clean that?

I ended up doing 3 'adjust' postings and now i have several lines in my bank rec that do not match. What do I do to correct this before my next filing, and will these O/S amounts throw off my next HST report?

Hi bobbilynncox,

 

I'm glad to see you reaching out to Community for this.  I can understand the importance of cleaning up the adjustments to ensure your tax filing is accurate as well as keeping your account balanced.  In situations like this it's always best to reach out to your accountant for the best course of action.  When adjustments are recorded they can have different affects on your books.  Your accountant can unreconcile the account and get you back on track.  If you don't have an accountant, we can help you find one here.
