Hello brian.saulnier,

 

Balanced books are an essential part of good bookkeeping. I know that sometimes having an extra hand to assist with figuring things out can be helpful, so I want to make sure you have a sense of the resources available to work with balancing your payment in QuickBooks Online.

 

For these situations, having detail about what's happening in your books, what kind of payment you're working with, and what's prompting you that it's not balancing is key to figuring out the steps to resolve what's going on. For that reason, I have three options to recommend: share more detail in a reply here, connect with the QuickBooks Online support team, or consult an accountant.

I recommend going with that option if the payment you're referring to has to do with a subscription payment or QuickBooks Payments services. Those two scenarios call for the exchange of personal details to really get a sense of what is going on.

 

To work with an accountant, you can visit the My Accountant tab. There, you'll have the option to invite your accountant as a user to your books or you can use the Find a pro to help button to research QuickBooks-savvy accountants near you.
