It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  QuickBooks Online provides everything you need to manage accessibility to your books.  When the Primary Admin is no longer associated with your account, you can make the necessary changes to update user information, and successfully change the Primary Admin.  I'd be glad to assist.

In order to protect your account and data, documentation is necessary to verify ownership.  Follow this link to submit a request to our Account Protection team.  Once submitted, your request will be reviewed as soon as possible and you'll receive an email update with the status of the request.  The email will be from no_response@intuit.com.

You have to ask your former manager to transfer the Primary Admin access to your end. Otherwise, you may need to spend money to migrate your data to a new QBO account.
