Hello there and welcome to the QuickBooks Community!

Having the ability to view your bank statement from directly within QuickBooks Online makes the process of reconciling your books so much simpler. It eliminates the need to have multiple tabs open or to search through paper copies of statements. Viewing your statement during the reconciliation process is easy, so let me show you how.

It sounds like you've already connected your accouts through the bank feeds, but in case you haven't, this article will show you how: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online. As long as your bank supports this feature, your statements will automatically pull through during the reconciliation process. Check here to see if your bank is supported. Next up, you can follow the steps below to get your statement:

  1. Navigate to the Accounting tab, then choose Reconcile.
  2. Select the account you want to reconcile from the Account dropdown.
  3. If you see the option to View statement, click it to view available statements.
  4. Hit Start reconciliation when you're ready to begin.

If your bank doesn't support this feature just yet, don't worry! You still have the option to manually attach your statement to a reconciliation. You'll only be able to attach it after you've completed the reconciliation though. When you hit Finish now, you'll be prompted to Attach statement. Click that to add your downloaded statement. If you want to view these statements after, you can navigate back to the Reconcile page of the Accounting tab at any time. Click History by account and look for the statement, The attachment will be in the Statements column.
