How do I turn off the new feature tour?

Menu = words at the top.

Help menu > New Features > What's New & New Features Tour == Remove the Checkmark.

for that to work you have to make it past the initial crash of new features tour to get to the help menu so that solution is not accurate

in our case logging in as the ADMIN resulted in the new features tour not showing up upon login BUT if you activate it manually from the help menu the same crash and hang occurs

    Clicking the X only closes it  until I reopen the file and then it shows up again.  I don't want it to show up every time I open a file.
