Question

How do you find the rounding formula that QBO uses for numbers? It often doesn't match my excel spreadsheets and I want to see if I can get excel to match it.

Hey there jmkentel,

Thanks for reaching out to us here. Making sure you get the support you need is important. I would be happy to point you in the right direction for the best assistance.

Rounding can happen because precision for sales tax calculations is designed for 2 decimal places in QuickBooks Online. I encourage you to take a look at this article. I also recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community so we can work directly with you. You can reach us by following one of these methods:

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
