Hi there email8,

It's awesome to see that you're using QuickBooks Self-Employed. This version of the software is an easy-to-use solution for entrepreneurs who only need the basics of bookkeeping to manage their business finances. I'd be happy to go over this with you.

Entering transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed is handled via the Transactions or the Invoices tabs, depending on what transaction you're looking to enter. In this case, you can consider using the Transactions tab to enter the funds you need for your owner deposit. This can be accomplished in one of two ways: connecting your bank to feed transactions into the account or manually entering the transaction. Check out the articles below to learn more about these options.

If you're not sure if this is the best way to record this kind of transaction, I recommend touching base with an accountant. Accountants have the training to let you know if there's a specific way a transaction should be recorded to make sure your books are in line with the needs of your business. There currently isn't a way to connect with an accountant with QuickBooks Self-Employed, but I encourage you to research professionals in your area to help you out.

Enjoy your weekend!
