How to record money withdraw for business direct investment account?

Hi

I have opened a Direct Investing Account (Questrade) for my company, and I am not going to frequently buy and sell stock. Now I transferred money from company bank account to company direct investing account. (please note it's not my own money, it's company money)

Now my question is how should I record this in QBO?

I have seen similar question about owners investment but the difference is it's company money investing by company and at the end profit and loss goes back to company

Thank you

Hi there,

Congratulations on opening a Direct Investing Account for your company.  Making sure you're recording your transactions the right way is a good exercise for preventing errors in your books. I'd be happy to steer you in the right direction so you can focus on doing the things you enjoy.

To ensure accuracy in your books, I recommend contacting an accounting professional to get more info on recording the expense transaction. Doing this will help prevent any future discrepancies in your books. You can also reach out to accounting professionals on our site using this link here.

I'll also leave this question here so other accounting professional members can chime in. Let me know if you have other questions. I'm here to help.
