Question

I did a transfer between two accounts & was able to match it under banking, but the amounts between quickbooks/bank are out the exact transfer amount.

Hi there,

QuickBooks Online is here to help with all your bookkeeping needs. It's great to hear that you're taking advantage of the bank feeds to help organize your transactions and make reconciliations even simpler! I'd be happy to explain a few reasons why you may see a different balance in QBO and your real-life bank account.

When you created the transfer in QuickBooks Online, you were moving funds from one area of the account to another. Doing so may create discrepancies in your bank balance, depending on how things were originally recorded in QuickBooks.

Since your balance is off by the exact amount you transferred, you'll either see that you've created a duplicate transaction, or you're missing a transaction. It's essential for you to do some investigating to find out where the discrepancy is coming from, in order to make the essential changes to balance your accounts.

If you're not sure where the discrepancy originates, I'd recommend reaching out to our tech support team. These agents have the option to remotely share your screen in order to help you navigate the account and get back on track.

I hope this helps get you started.

Cheers.
