Question

I have a small home based business and on occasion (less than once a month) use a cash register. Is there a way of inputting the till tape with out upgrading?

Hi tmklimchuk,

 

It's great you're using QuickBooks Online to easily manage your home-based business. I know how important it is to enter your transactions in your books accurately. I'll point you in the right direction with this.

 

From what you're describing, it sounds like using sales receipts would be a great option to input the necessary information from your till tape. I strongly recommend going over these following articles to assist you with that.

This feature is available in every QuickBooks Online plan, so you don't have to upgrade to benefit from it. Feel free to also reach out to your account to make sure everything is lining up correctly in your books. You can invite your accountant as a user in your account by going to the My accountant menu and inserting the email before confirming the invite. Alternatively, you can select Find a pro to help to access our accountants' list.
