Hello SKSP,

I love that you're using the bank feeds feature in QuickBooks Online to make categorizing your transactions a breeze. This feature is a huge time saver, but it's important that it's working as expected. When duplicate transactions are pulling through it can take away from the time that is better spent doing what you love. Let me help you out with this one.

Depending on how many duplicate transactions you're pulling through, this may just be a glitch in the system. Handling duplicates is an easy process, especially if there are only a few here and there. To remove them you'll simply want to select the checkbox next to the transaction and hit Exclude. From there they'll be moved to the Excluded tab within the bank feed. If you decide that you'd prefer to categorize one or a few of them at some point you simply need to navigate to the Excluded tab and hit Undo from the Action column.

If there are a ton of duplicate transactions pulling through, we'll want to get to the root of the issue in order to resolve it. If you've manually uploaded transactions from your online banking portal recently, it's possible that this is the cause. If the date range you selected for a manual upload overlapped with the dates of transactions that pulled in automatically, you'll see duplicate transactions. In this case, excluding them is the best bet to remove them from your feed.

It's possible that there's a deeper issue that's causing these duplicate transactions to pull through, and if that's the case this is something that you'll want to consult with our team of support experts on outside of the Community. They'll need to gather some sensitive account details that can't be shared here, and then they can walk through some additional troubleshooting steps. This may be an issue for our team of engineers to work on, and in that case an agent can add your name to the list of affected users so that you'll be notified as soon as there's a fix.
