I merged two bank accounts by mistake

Thanks for reaching out to us here, QuickBooks Online is a great tool, it allows you to create, and merge accounts when you need to. It's important that you know how and when to merge accounts in Chart of accounts. I can provide some information on merging accounts.

When you merge two accounts in Chart of accounts, there isn't a way to reverse it. What you can do, is create another account in Chart of accounts with the original amount that was in the account you have previously created. Once you have created the new accounts separate, you can go ahead and make the Merged account inactive if you no longer need it.
