Question

I realized in my bank reconciliation that "checked off" the wrong payroll item. They are for the same person and same amount.How do I correct this?

All the bank reconciliations were reconciled I just off the incorrect item

Thank you for pointing this out, JBond7. Allow me to assist you in rectifying the bank reconciliation that has been mistakenly categorized under the incorrect payroll item. To start, let's manually undo the reconciliation.
 
Please follow the process below:
 
  1. Navigate the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Chart Of Accounts.
  3. Choose the bank with the reconciled transactions and click View Register.
  4. Locate the specific transaction and expand its view by selecting it.
  5. In the checkmark column, click the box marked R repeatedly until it is empty, thus removing the transaction from reconciliation.
  6. Click Save to apply the changes.
     

 

Once you undo the reconciliation, you can make the necessary edits to correct the details. After doing so, you can reconcile it again by selecting R.
