Hello mahesh3,

At QuickBooks, our goal is to make sure all our customers have the information they need to complete their bookkeeping tasks in the program. When you're not sure what steps to take, we're here to help! It's important to me that you get the guidance needed for entering your transaction, so I'll point you in the right direction.

In this case, having more detail about what feature you're using to enter the transaction into the program will be helpful. There are a few different things that you could be referring to here, so I want to make sure you have the steps to accomplish your task. For that reason, I recommend getting in touch with QuickBooks Online support outside of the Community.

In doing this, you'll be able to share the full details of your situation and have an agent walk you through the steps to record the deposit in your books. I've got an idea of what you might be trying to do to get you started, but don't be afraid to reach out if you need further assistance.

If you're referring to splitting a transaction you're adding from the bank feed in the Banking section of the program, here's how you can add multiple split lines.

  1. Click the transaction to expand the management options.
  2. Select Split in the bottom right of the transaciton.
  3. By default, the program will give you two split lines. To add more, click Add lines under the Received from column.
  4. Enter the split information as needed.
  5. Click Save and add when complete.
