Question

I've had to change my credit card account number, it remains the same account. How do I change the account number in banking to reflect the new activity?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out in the Community. I'll help you update your bank account information so your Bank Feed continues saving you time!

The Bank Feed is one of the most helpful features in QuickBooks Online. Having the option to sync to your Financial Institution's website is awesome, as it allows you to reconcile your accounts without having to toggle back and forth between QuickBooks and other sites. I want to make sure you can update your account to reflect your new credit card account number.

To update your bank info, you'll have to disconnect and reconnect your account from the Banking page.

Here's how:

1. From the left menu, select Banking, then Banking.
2. In the Account window, select Disconnect this account on save.
3. Select Save and close.

Once disconnected, you can follow the steps to reconnect the account. Here's how to do that: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online

Following this process will help update your account information in your QuickBooks Online Bank Feed. I hope this helps get you back on track. If there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know.

Have a great day.

Hi there,

Thanks for joining the thread. If you've followed the instructions above and you're running into any specific issues, I'd encourage you to reach out to our tech support team. There may be a number of variables involved in the error message you're seeing which an agent can investigate with more details.

Cheers.
