Need to correct an credit card pmt which was entered as pd by bank but was actually paid by owner

Hi there, 

 

QuickBooks Online makes it easy to edit a payment and I'd be happy to show you how. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Select Settings ⚙️.
  2. Under Your Company, select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account associated with the payment and click Account history.
  4. Select the transaction, then Edit
  5. Find the payment .
  6. In the Received From column, select the customer where the payment was received.
  7. Make the correction.
  8. Select Save and close, then Yes to confirm your changes.

This is what I had tried to do.   But for some reason I had entered it under "pay down credit card" and my only choices from where the money came from are the bank accounts.
