I think the reason why your guide doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me is that I'm actually on the Canadian platform of QuickBooks Desktop Pro.  It was just pointed out to me on another topic that I'm positing on the US board.  For example, I don't see a "Send items to your bank" section.  I only see the attached... 

 

LauraAB was kind enough to help me out on my other post.  Maybe she can also assist me here?  She's shown me how to get to the Canadian site for all future posts.
