I am up to April in reconciliation.

I would like to now reconcile  October and November,

Can I reconcile them without  reconciling the interim months.

Thanks,

YW

Yes; if you put in the date-ending of the most recent statement and the ending balance of the account at that date, it should work as you'd expect.

Hi YYW,

It's great you're taking advantage of the Reconcile feature to make sure that your QuickBooks statements match those of your bank account. I'll be happy to share more on this.

The Reconcile option in the program enables you to reconcile progressively. You can indeed reconcile one month at a time or two or three, but you can't skip months during this process. The ending balance of a month is the beginning balance of the next month. So if after reconciling April, you enter the ending balance for October, the system will consider that you're working with the beginning balance of May right through to the ending balance of October. This will, of course, include transactions from May to October for you to reconcile. For more details on the reconciliation process, check out this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online

I'd also encourage you to reach out to your accountant to make sure everything is lining up correctly in your account during and after your reconciliations. You can easily invite an accountant to your books or find one in your area. Just head to the My Accountant tab to get started, then select Find a pro to help.

I hope this helps! Feel free if you need anything else.
