Question

The transactions listed in a downloaded account are backwards- the spent column is full of payments, and the received column is full of debits. 100% backwards. A fix?

Hi mindfulloffood,

Thanks for reaching out here.  Your banking is a vital part of your books and it's essential that your transactions are entered correctly.  QuickBooks Online provides the options you need to stay on track with your work and enjoy the rest of your day.  I'll be happy to assist!

It sounds like you've done a manual upload of your transactions.  Having the debits and credits reversed is something that can be fixed seamlessly.  The first step would be to exclude all of the transactions in the recent upload to prevent duplicate entries.  Here's how:

1. From the left menu, select Banking or Transactions

2. In the For review tab, checkmark the transactions you need to remove and hit Exclude

That's it!

You're ready to upload the transactions manually using the csv file.  When prompted through the steps, be sure to select the correct column number for the debits and credits.  This will ensure a positive outcome in QuickBooks.  Here's a helpful guide to have on hand for your reference.

Please don't hesitate to contact us for additional assistance.  It would be our pleasure to work with you in real time and ensure you're able to complete your QuickBooks goals!
