Question

uploading older statements, when I get to the connect an account screen, my account is already green ticked. The Green oval is greyed out and I can only hit skip for now.

Stuck on being able to upload old bank statements. I can't continue past this screen so I can upload other files

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

Hi, @goingoptical. The greyed-out green oval on the connect an account screen shows that your bank account is already linked to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

The system will automatically upload your old statements. Different banks allow uploads from the last 30 to 90 days and may even allow up to a year.  

 

Please check with your specific bank for more detailed information on the duration of statement uploads.

 

If you need statements from a period earlier than what is uploaded automatically, you may have the option to manually import older transactions using a file download from your bank. Typically, in formats like CSV, QBO, or QFX.

 

You can import these files into QuickBooks Online (QBO) by:

 

  1. To navigate to the Transaction section, click on it from the left side of the screen.
  2. Then, select Bank Transactions.
  3.  Within the Link Account area, click on Upload from file to proceed.

I would like to suggest Intuit add a QB Desktop feature to import bank transactions from CSV files.  This feature is available on QB Online.  Intuit should add this feature into QB Desktop.  

 

Moving to QB Online is not an option for me as it is not suitable.
