Hello Dargill,

Having the option to connect your bank to QuickBooks Online is a great timesaver when it comes to entering transactions into your books. I'm here to help explain what's going on.

With a recent update to the Scotiabank website, the connection between the site and QuickBooks Online was disrupted. Our engineers are working with Scotiabank to resolve this issue as I type this since we know how useful this feature is to QuickBooks users. I don't have an estimated time for the fix at the moment.

I encourage you to reach out to the QuickBooks Online team using one of the methods below to have your account added to our list of affected users, which will also sign you up for receiving updates about the repairs as they become available.

Schedule a Callback or Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat

To keep on top of your work while we fix this, you can consider manually uploading the banking transactions: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Keep in mind with choosing this process that when the automatic connection is reestablished that you may see transactions you already handled with this manual process. In that case, simply exclude the transactions that are already in your books to avoid duplicating your numbers. This article explains actions you can take in the bank feed: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online

I hope you find this helpful. Enjoy your day.
