Hi morganfinancials,

I know how important it is to ensure everything in your books is lining up properly. If you're looking at your Trial Balance Report alongside your credit card account, there's a few reasons why you may be seeing a different balance. I'll explain further below.

The Trial Balance Report summarizes the debit and credit balances of each account on your chart of accounts during a period of time. It's important to make sure you're comparing two identical date-ranges in order to see a matching balance in your Trial Balance with your bank account.

If you need to adjust the report's date-range, just click the date drop-down at the top of the report. My colleague has inserted a screenshot for reference on this thread: How to change the date-range on the Trial Balance Report.

If you're still noticing discrepancies between the Trial Balance Report and your credit card account, there may be missing data in QBO, or a double-entry. I recommend comparing your Trial Balance Report with the Balance Sheet, and consulting with your accountant for further assistance to determine what's happening.

If you're not yet connected to an accountant, you can find one in your area here: Find an Accountant

I hope this helps get you on the right track. If you're still in need of further assistance, please reach out to our tech support team. It may be beneficial for you to work with an agent one-on-one while remotely sharing your screen so one of our experts can navigate the account to locate the issue.

Cheers.
