What is causing a transaction type to be DEPOSIT rather than CHECK when I do a funds transfer between my two bank accounts. It is correctly posted as a debit from the account. The receiving account is correctly showing as a DEPOSIT transaction type and as a deposit/credit to that account. I am importing from my bank (feeds). I could "just live with it", having the transaction type labeled wrong, since everything does reconcile but there has to be an explanation of why QuickBooks would label the transaction type as DEPOSIT instead of CHECK. I've had this happen several times. What am I doing wrong?
Is there any prospect that QuickBooks will be able to send invoices/ receive bills in EDI format? This is Electronic Data Interchange. A Danish client (using QB Online Global) has customers who want their invoices in this seamless format. It would seem very probable that many businesses of a certain size will increasingly want to receive documentation in this format.
We have been using QB for several years and now need to setup divisions within our company as we grow.Divisions are as follows:General and AdministrativeMaintenanceFertilizerEnhancementConstructionSnow I need to set a chart of accounts specific to each division so that we can track "everything" per division and report per division. I see the online QB version has locations which may work but we are using desktop and I am not seeing how class tracking will work in this application. All accounts on our COA will be specifically allocated to a division. I do not see how I can tag an account to a class. My first try I added the class "Maintenance" and went to my COA Bed Maintenance income account. There are no options under edit to tag a class to it. We sync QuickBooks with our CRM Service Autopilot so I do not see me manually adjusting classes on invoices and such only to sync with Service Autopilot and it is reverted. Our invoices are ge
Hi I just purchased a used version of the book Computer Accounting with Quickbooks 2018. No surprise it has no Product Number Code Card and thus no License. My question first question is: If I purchase a Quickbooks Desktop version for myself , (as I really intent to start a LLC bookkeeping business anytime soon ) would i still be able to use the sample files that the book suggests ? Is it possible to upload those sample files in my brand new Quickbooks Desktop version so that I can start to practice from there , using the USED book and its instructions , Second question : Does any desktop version come with pre-loaded sample company file also so you can test and learn with it as I can not afford to purchase a new book for a dear price and get only 5 months license. I rather by the desktop version one year and keep it for myself longer and manage to lear it on my own.Third : Not sure if the
