1099 late filling

I am late in filing the 1099s for my organization by 1 day. Quickbooks says that I can still E-file until April 1 but the system won't allow me to e-file. Can I still file 1099 NEC using Quickbooks even if I missed the deadline?

Yes, you can still e-file your 1099-NEC form until April 30th of this year. 

 

I'd like to dig a little deeper and find out the root cause of the issue. Did you encounter a specific error message when processing the 1099? I would like to know this so I can check for any issues in the system.

I have payroll account. When I try to create 1099 form, Would not able to open it.The contractor has information in the system.

To start, please open an incognito window. This will prevent your browsing history from being saved. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts based on the type of browser you are using:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers as an alternative, which will provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks. If you are able to access the 1099 option, you would need to clear your cache because that is affecting it.
