Evening,

This is the first time I've used QB Online, used Desktop for 25 yrs.  I'm trying to print 1099's and it looks like Online version wants me to e-file and pay for each one.  WHY can't I just print like always?  Is there a way to print the forms I've already bought?

It's my priority to help you print the 1099 form, @Ctilley.

When preparing 1099 forms, if you choose not to e-file with Intuit, you have the option to print out copies to mail and complete your filing with the IRS.

Before that, ensure to purchase your 1099 Kit so you can print. Once done, follow the steps below:

  1. Create your 1099s in QuickBooks.
  2. When complete, choose the I'll file myself option.
  3. Select the type of form you are printing.
  4. Check if the forms align properly by selecting Print sample on blank paper. If it looks good, choose Yes, looks good! If the alignment is not correct, choose No, it doesn't line up and follow the on-screen instructions to fix your alignment, then click Next.
  5. Confirm the form you want to print and choose View selected 1099 contractors to confirm your contractors.
  6. Click Print on 1099 forms and then select Print to complete your printing.
  7. Lastly, choose Next then Done.
