943 Mailing Address in QuickBooks Desktop is Wrong

When we prepare a 943 for 2021 showing no balance due, the QuickBooks desktop instructions provide a mailing address ending in zip code [removed], but it should really be [removed] for our state (MISSOURI).  The zip ending in [removed] is the mailing address for 940, not the 943.  Anyway to get QuickBooks to update this to avoid filing mistakes by clients?  The IRS is bad enough right now, we don't need returns going to the wrong address to start with.

Hello, @CPAhcmm. 

 

Let me guide you on how to change your mailing address in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to Company > My Company. 
  2. Click the Edit (pencil) icon located in the upper right of the Company Information section. 
  3. In the Company Information window, select Contact or Legal Information and update the address.
  4. Click OK. 

 

You can also log in to camps.intuit.com and modify the information.

The FILING INSTRUCTIONS for the FEDERAL FORM 943 are incorrectly guiding taxpayers to mail the Federal 943 to the incorrect IRS mailing address.  This has nothing to do with the company's address in QuickBooks.

We want to make sure you're able to submit the IRS form 943 to the right mailing address. For this, you can check out this IRS link for the updated adresses you can send the form to: Where to File Your Taxes for Form 943.

 

For now, if you see an incorrect address in QuickBooks, you can report it directly to our Payroll Team. This way it gets reported to our engineers and avoid issues with your filings.

 

To get our support, follow the steps below:

 

  1. On your QuickBooks company file, click the Help menu.
  2. Tap the QuickBooks Desktop Help option.
  3. Press Contact us on the pop-up box.
  4. Click on the Search for Something else button then type your concern in the Ask us anything box.
  5. Hit Search, then scroll down to get your contact options.
