You have me to help correct the paycheck bank account, Airtech. Let's work together to fix this.

If the salary is deposited to the wrong bank account, worry not, since it will be rejected, and credited back to your bank account. Once this happens, void the paycheck and recreate a new one.

To avoid errors on the next salary day, update your employee's bank information, moving forward.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and select Employees.
  2. Select the employees profile.
  3. From the Payment method, select Edit.
  4. From the Payment method dropdown, pick Direct Deposit.
  5. Enter the correct banking information for your checking account.

If you're referring to the posting account of the paycheck, we're unable to change it. However, we can correct your bank account to process payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can guide you on how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Payroll settings.
  3. Select the Accounting Preferences edit pencil icon.
  4. In the Bank Account section, select the correct checking account.
  5. Click OK twice.

After that, create a journal entry to transfer the funds to the correct bank account.

Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you view your payroll totals, including employee taxes and contributions. It views information about your business and employees: Create a payroll summary report.

I'm only a few clicks away if you need more assistance correcting your paycheck bank account in QuickBooks. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
