Question

Add a new employee. QB keeps saying "something isn't quite right" and wont him continue filling out info. I believe, because his address is the same as the company's?

I can help you fix that, tristanskye05-gm.

 

QuickBooks will allow you to enter the same address since your employee is your son. To isolate this issue, you can have him fill out his information through an incognito or private window. In most cases, strange behaviors and runtime errors are caused by the accumulated cache in the browser. Here are the shortcut keys:

 

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
  • Control + Option + P for Safari

If it's now working well, he'll need to close the private window and go back to his regular browser. Then, clear its cache to delete the stored junk files. Switching to other supported web browsers can also help rectify the issue.
