Adding a new employee to quickbooks online

I am trying to add a new employee but every time I put the information in I get this error message:

Another employee, vendor, or customer is already using this name. Please enter a different name.

 

I have looked through all vendors, employees and customers and there is no one by that name. I can not seem to get past the

I understand you encountered an error message "Another employee, vendor, or customer is already using this name. Please enter a different name." when adding an employee in QuickBooks Online. This means you have used an identical set of names. Since you checked your employee lists and found no duplicates, I suggest verifying if you have similar names for inactive customers and vendors.

 

If there is a similar name, you can add another character or a second name to make it different.
